Kalimoo is a musical instrument app provided by Rotten Ropes, an independent developer in South Korea. This policy explains the current app and how to contact us about privacy.
Playing and data on your device
You can play Kalimoo and keep your first Moo without an account. Your language, instrument and appearance settings, saved performance, and completed musical exchanges with friends are stored on your device. The app does not send these to a developer server. Friend replies are generated on your device; your playing is not sent to an AI service.
Recording and sharing
Recording saves the notes you play in the app and their timing, for up to 30 seconds. It does not use your microphone or record conversations around you. A new recording replaces the previous saved take. If you choose to share, Kalimoo creates an audio file or character card and passes it to the app or recipient you select through the system share sheet. That recipient or service handles the shared copy under its own policies. Temporary exported files may be kept in the app cache until the system clears them.
Accounts and purchases
Playing is available without an app account. Google Play processes Android purchases with its own account. Older app versions can require Google profile connection for account-backed purchase access. In versions with age confirmation, only confirmed adults may connect a Google profile and children or unconfirmed users do not initialize account or advertising SDKs. The app keeps the profile identifier, email and display name on the device. An account-backed access request in older versions sends a Google ID token, which can contain the identifier, email, name and profile-picture URL, to the developer verification service. It verifies the token for access and does not create a customer account database. We do not receive passwords or payment-card details. The Android build with rewarded ads enabled asks you to confirm your age at first entry. The age input has no preselected value and must be filled in before confirmation. Only an age band and policy version are stored locally, never the entered age or birth date. Only confirmed adults may choose AdMob rewarded videos for supported Simple Moo visits, subject to regional consent through Google UMP. Under-18 and unconfirmed users receive no ad requests. Ad content is limited to G. Google may process device identifiers other than the advertising ID, IP address, app interactions and diagnostics to deliver ads and prevent fraud. The app does not use the advertising ID. iOS does not include this advertising SDK. Visit rewards require server verification of Google's signed reward callback, not just the device callback. The developer server receives a random installation identifier and target key to issue a claim, stores a hashed installation subject, and keeps claim, reward transaction and visit-history records to prevent duplicate rewards. Pending claims expire after ten minutes; granted visits last up to 24 hours. Claim and reward transaction records are retained for 30 days; hashed installation visit history is retained for 13 months after the last granted visit. This visit does not authorize paid raster or audio packs. There is no developer crash-reporting SDK. The released app can send usage records to Google Analytics and PostHog. Send usage in Settings is off by default, including on upgraded installs. Analytics can start only after adult confirmation and an explicit choice to enable it; protected and unknown users do not start the analytics SDKs. Turning it off keeps play working and stops those records. Google receives when the app opens, the time bucket until the first note, and whether a finished piece was the first. PostHog receives the screen opening, the first note, a finished piece, a replay from the library or your space, a locked item when that build offers sales, and the support sheet. A person is a random id kept on the device, and installing again is a new person. Note pitches, timing, recordings, postcards, email, name, Google account, advertising ID, location, the words of a note you send, price, and payment result are not sent. The public website does not send these records. The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, or microphone. Plus and support purchases, when enabled, are processed by Google Play or the App Store. On Android the developer verification server receives the package name, product identifier and purchase token, and verifies the purchase through Google Play; payment-card details are not received. Google Play may also process installation, device diagnostics and store activity under its own policies.
Retention, deletion and backups
Rotten Ropes does not run a customer account database. Your Google account stays with Google. Plus and support purchases stay with Google Play or the App Store. Support notes you choose to send are kept as described in the next section. Kalimoo keeps play settings, your starter Moo, saved performances, friend history and the Google account identifier, email and display name on the device, tied to that Google sign-in. Android backup or device transfer may restore that on-device copy under Google's policy when you use the same Google account. If backup is off or you install on a new device without a restore, local play data can be lost; Google sign-in and Play purchase restore still work. You can delete local data by clearing Kalimoo storage or uninstalling. Copies you shared elsewhere must be removed separately.
Account and data deletion requests
Request deletion at https://kalimoo.vercel.app/delete-account/ or email maromav2017@gmail.com with the subject “Kalimoo account/data deletion”. Include the Google email used in Kalimoo, if any, the data you want deleted and enough detail to identify any support conversation, such as its date. You can request deletion of only a support conversation without disconnecting your profile. We may reply to verify the request and explain completion or any necessary retention. We delete identifiable support content and reply email we hold when the request is verified, unless legal obligations or a security investigation require retention; if that exception applies, we tell you the reason and applicable period. Local profiles and play data are on your device: disconnect the profile with Settings → Sign out, and clear Kalimoo app storage to remove the local settings, starter Moo and saved music. You do not need to reinstall the app to send a deletion request. This does not delete your Google account, cancel a Play purchase or automatically remove copies shared elsewhere. Google Play keeps its own purchase records. Ad verification records, when that feature is enabled, expire automatically: claim and reward transactions after 30 days, and hashed installation visit history 13 months after the last granted visit. These are not a customer account database. A new version also provides a direct deletion-request link in Privacy and support; older versions can send the request through Send a note or the contact email.
Privacy questions and support
Contact maromav2017@gmail.com for support, privacy questions or a request to delete a support conversation. You can also send a short note from Settings → Send a note. If you email us or use the in-app form, we receive your message, the kind of note if you chose one, an optional reply email, the app version when the app sends it, and the time. Playing data and your Google account are not attached automatically. We use the note to respond and to understand Kalimoo, retain it while needed for that purpose or a legal obligation, and otherwise delete it when no longer needed. Please do not send passwords or payment-card details. We limit access to support messages to the people handling your request and do not sell them.
